Few people can recall events in great detail from their childhood, and even fewer can remember anything at all from before they were 3 years old or so. The overwhelmingly popular theory to explain this phenomenon has to do with something along the lines of lack of cognitive and memory development at that age.
I call bullshit.
I propose a far more scientifically rigorous theory: we were all crazed alcoholics in our childhood. Why don’t we remember being alcoholics? Well, obviously because we were too hammered all the time to recall that sad little truth.
